Prescription Help and how to order Glasses from SpecSuperstore

 

Your Optical Prescription:

After visiting your optician for an eye test you will be given a copy of your prescription, your prescription would have been conducted under the NHS or privately but the values and parameters are exactly the same. Below is an NHS prescription copy which will look something like this:

As you can see above there are values entered for the Sphere (SPH), Cylinder (CYL) and Axis. Also the Optometrist has entered an ADD value above which is the prescribed reading addition required for close work and reading. There are two ways of writing this power: The 1st is above and the second would be written as below:

From the values on your prescription you should then enter your details into our prescription area as below making sure that the correct + and - signs are entered correctly.

Above you can see that values are entered for the prism and base values. Prisms are required for a muscle inbalance and prisms make the two eyes work together as they should do. Below is what your optometrist would enter on your prescription copy and above is how this should be entered on our website.
