Chanel turns to tweed

Striking tweed-style frames from Chanel now in stock

We really love this new style from Chanel. Mademoiselle Chanel loved British culture and fashion. On her trips to the UK she would stay in Scotland at the Duke of Westminster’s estate. The tweed in her designs were inspired by the same double-check patterns as the Scottish kilts.

The glasses and sunglasses in the collection are all made with acetate frames. The material is of a high quality, making it smooth and glossy.

Chanel uses acetate derived from cotton flowers. It’s a great “green” choice as this organic material grows in abundance. There are six colours available and all can be bought from our store here.
