Eva Mendes, the sultry star of over 25 movies including 2 Fast 2 Furious, Ghost Rider and Hitch, was recently snapped in New York City wearing vintage-style Miu Miu designer sunglasses. Teamed with a floral silk-printed dress, she looked stunning as she made her way to a live chat show to promote her recent box-office smash, The Other Guys, which also stars Samuel L. Jackson and Elijah Wood.
Miu Miu designer sunglasses are individual and distinctive, offering A-list celebrity styling at a down-to-earth price. A spin-off company of Prada, Miu Miu has taken on board the current trend towards retro-styling and femininity, with designs inspired by those worn by the starlets of the fifties, sixties and seventies. The glasses Eva was wearing (Miu Miu 11LS in white) combined the chic looks of vintage Chanel with popular up-to-the-minute Wayfarer styling, creating a look that was both elegant and workable.

Spurning the oversized Aviator style beloved of so many celebs, she has previously been seen in Bvlgari, Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana designer sunglasses – though Miu Miu remains a firm favourite; Eva was photographed in an oversized Hickory smoked-rimmed pair back in March 2008. On August 2nd she went for a slightly more intellectual look, with a thicker brow bar and upward flick-out which again is a trend for this season. Bvlgari BV8054B sunglasses are similar – not too extreme, and a lot more interesting and flattering than some cheaper imitation styles.
