Resident Evil star looks devilish in Prada
Does the Devil wear Prada sunglasses? The jury’s still out on that one, but Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich certainly looks cool in them. She was snapped in a pair of square-framed MS Prada designer sunglasses after she touched down at Los Angeles airport last week. Looking casual and relaxed, the star completed the look with a casual grey jacket, white shoulder bag and blue jeans the same colour as her sunglasses.
Jovovich, who has starred in all four Resident Evil films and is married to the Resident Evil writer and director Paul W. Anderson, is no stranger to looking good in front of the camera. Before becoming an actress she was a fashion model, beginning her career at the tender age of 11 with an ad campaign for Revlon. She then worked for a succession of famous names including L’Oreal, Christian Dior, Versace and Banana Republic. Currently, she’s the face for fashion house Mango, and even launched her own clothing range in 2003.
Although she had a number of small acting roles in the 80s and 90s, it wasn’t until 1997 that Milla hit the big time, playing the role of Leeloo in Luc Besson’s hit sci fi flick The Fifth Element. She made Resident Evil in 2002. That was the year, incidentally, that Miuccia Prada declared her to be his muse, in a Harpers and Queen interview.
The Prada designer sunglasses Milla wore last week proved that point perfectly. The oversized powder blue square frames were perfect for her face shape and complexion, while the metal nose bar bucked the trend in the same way Milla herself did, when she arrived wearing an outfit of revealing bandages in the Fifth Element.
