I use my glasses for?

Everything/Distance - FREE  [INFO]Choose this option if you use your glasses for seeing everything in the far distance, driving or television. These are single vision lenses where the lens power will be the same wherever you look through the lens.
Reading - FREE  [INFO]Choose this option if you use your glasses for close work or tasks and reading. The distance that the object you are viewing will be approximately 12-13 inches from your eyes. These are single vision lenses where the lens power will be the same wherever you look through the lens.
Computer/Intermediate/Music - FREE  [INFO]Choose this option if you use your glasses for viewing a PC, reading music or looking at objects at arms length away from your eyes. These are single vision lenses where the lens power will be the same wherever you look through the lens.
Bi-Focal + £20.00  [INFO]Bifocals are lenses that house two prescriptions in one lens. They have a half moon segment in most types where your reading or close work prescription will be in. The top part of the lens is for seeing in the far distance and the lower part is for reading or close work. The segment can come in a variety of sizes with the most common being a segment 28mm wide. They can be supplied in 35mm segments and in Executive format where the division of powers is straight across the lens giving you a very wide reading area.
Varifocal + £65.00  [INFO]Varifocals house three prescriptions in one lens with no visible lines on them. The top part is used for seeing in the far distance, the middle is for viewing a PC or Music and the bottom part is for reading or close work. Varifocals have distorted areas on the sides of the lenses that can restrict your clear reading area if you are viewing a broad page or object due to the way that they are manufactured. If you require a standard reading area then choose our Standard Varifocal, if you do a fair amount of reading then choose our Ultrawide Varifocal and if you do a lot of reading then choose our Superwide Varifocal.

Lens Material

Make your lenses thinner, lighter and more attractive in your chosen frames.

Standard (1.523 index) - FREE  [INFO]This is the most commonly used plastic in the optics industry with an index of 1.523. If your prescription is over a + or - 3 sphere we recommend that you choose our Thin, Ultrathin or Superthin materials to minimise the thickness and weight of your lenses.
Polycarbonate/Safety (1.59) + £40.00  [INFO]This material is made from polycarbonate which has an index of 1.59. This option is recommended for rimless and safety specs as it is 12 times more impact resistant than standard plastic. This option will make your lenses up to 30% lighter and 20% thinner than our standard plastic material. An Antiglare coating is recommended for these lenses.
Thin (1.6 index) + £40.00  [INFO]This is a more compressed plastic with an index of 1.6 which will make your lenses up to 20% thinner and 25% lighter than our standard material plastic. An Antiglare coating is recommended on these lenses to minimise reflections.
Ultrathin (1.67 index) + £75.00  [INFO]This is even more compressed plastic than our Thin lenses and are up to 15% thinner and 25% flatter than them. They have an index of 1.67 and make high prescriptions look great being so thin. We strongly recommend an Antiglare coating with these lenses as they will reflect a lot more light otherwise.
Superthin (1.74 index) + £120.00  [INFO]Thin is the thinnest plastic on the market today with an index of 1.74. They are the equivalent thickness of 1.8 glass lenses which is very, very thin. On average they are 10% thinner than our Ultrathin lenses ans are the perfect option for those with a prescription over a + or - 5 sphere. We strongly recommend an Antiglare coating for these lenses.

Brown FROM £50.00  [INFO]Polarised lenses aren’t just tinted lenses, they offer total protection from harmful UV rays of the sun, enhance colour perception making colours appear more vibrant and improve contrast of images. Protective Coating

Choose to make your lenses Anti Reflective, more durable and protective from UV Rays.

Scratch Resistant + £0.00  [INFO]Scratch Resistant – This coating is a layer of resin applied to both surfaces of plastic lenses to protect them from scratching. Although not scratch proof they provide excellent protection from scratches that can be caused from putting your glasses in your pocket or handbag when not in a case. All standard lenses are protected with a Scratch resistant coating FREE from SpecSuperstore.
UV400 Coating + £12.00  [INFO]UV Radiation is invisible to the naked eye but unfortunately it is there. Our UV400 Coating protects your eyes from harmful UV of the sun. Ideal for people who want peace of mind that their eyes are constantly protected form the sun.
Anti Glare Coating + £15.00  [INFO]Our Anti Glare coating combines an Scratch resistant coating and antiglare coating in one. Ideal for night driving, VDUs and flourescent lighting they eliminate glare produced in everyday situations. They also make your lenses more attractive to look at stopping annoying reflections appear on your lenses. Newsreaders tend to have antiglare coatings on their lenses as when they are in studios a great deal of artificial light is produced but it doesn’t show on their lenses. They have a green/blue hue to them when viewed at an angle under light but this is invisible when looking at them head on. We recommend Antiglare coatings for all our high index lens options as high index lenses produce more reflections.
Super Anti Glare Coating + £32.00  [INFO]These are the same as Antiglare coated lenses but also resist water, dirt and dust with their built in Scotchgard protection. They are very easy to clean and resist fingerprint marks, water, oily products, dust and dirt. These are the best coatings available today for those who want nothing but the best from their lenses. They also offer a two year guarantee against any defects. We recommend this coating for all high index lens options also.
